Marcus Thuram reveals how he had to Google himself to get into San Siro

Marcus Thuram tells how he had to google himself to get into San Siro

“Did you Google yourself? When I was playing for Borussia Mönchengladbach against Inter, I was selected to attend the pre-match press conference at San Siro with the coach. I arrived at the stadium and realised I had forgotten my passport – I always forget things. I told the staff I was Marcus Thuram, but they didn’t believe me. I was wearing a mask because of COVID and didn’t want to take it off because I wasn’t allowed to. After Googling my identity, he asked me to take my mask off and then let me in,” Thuram said in an interview on the Italian club’s official YouTube channel.

It is worth noting that the 26-year-old forward joined Inter from Borussia Mönchengladbach last summer. During his four seasons with the German club, he made 134 appearances, scoring 44 goals and providing 29 assists. His contract expired and was not renewed, allowing Inter to sign him for free.
