Following the official unveiling of the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX “Air Max Tn” earlier this week, worn by Kylian Mbappé, Marcus Thuram has announced that it will also be available in the Vapor XV variant when it releases on January 15th. Nike has kicked off the new year with an epic fusion of its iconic product lines, merging the branding and design of the iconic Nike TN Air Max Plus with the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX silhouette. The collection pays homage to the OG “Voltage Purple” release from 1998. Mbappé wasted no time in not only getting his hands on a pair but also scoring “PSG’s” second goal against “Toulouse” in the victorious Trophée des Champions match. And now, his compatriot Marcus Thuram presented the Nike Air Mercurial Tn Vapor XV version during a recent training session with 'Inter'.
The Nike Air Mercurial Tn collection is presented in Volt Purple/Total Orange colorways, reflecting the heritage of the sneaker line. Thuram is expected to wear the Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XV version during tomorrow's Serie A match between Inter and Verona. First released in 1998 and last in 2018, the Air Max Plus OG "Voltage Purple" colorway also makes its return as the shoe's 25th anniversary title, which it celebrated in 2023.
